A StoryWalk is a fun, outdoor activity that places a children’s book, page by page, along a path or in a park. Kids and their families have the opportunity to enjoy reading a book while spending time outside!
This summer, our storywalk book is “The Darkest Dark” written by Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield. Hadfield tells the story of young Chris, who loves space but can't bear his own room once the lights are out. When little Chris watches the groundbreaking moon landing on TV, he realizes that space is the darkest dark there is, and that the dark can be beautiful and exciting, especially when you have big dreams to keep you company.
