Join us to celebrate Ontario Culture Days! We will host the Orange Peel Morris Dancing troupe on September 24!
What is Morris Dancing? Morris Dancing has been part of many different special events in Britain such as May Day and village festivals for hundreds of years. The dancers wear bells on their legs and keep rhythm with sticks, and may be accompanied by traditional instruments such as concertinas and tabors.
The Morris Dancers will be performing three times on September 24, at 10 am, 12 noon, and 2 pm. The Orange Peel Morris group is a lot of fun, and they love to get the audience involved as well, so be ready to join in and learn this ancient British folk dance.
